Like many of us in the hobby started with pigeons at a younger age.  I had them first at age 10 as a young kid in southern California when I helped an injured wild pigeon back to health.    I had it cooped up in a playhouse my dad made for us.    When it had escaped and fly back in the next day  I was amazed and fascinated with this bird.    Then years later on  I found out about the various breeds of domestics pigeons and I was hooked for life.    Ever since my childhood I had them except when I went into the military for a 7 year absence of them.    So for now I  have them until the end of time for me.    Below is a pic of my son and I in Chicago Field Museum  mid 80's     I am holding a white roller 16  years of  age .  Early 70's
